The steps
- Open the job on the employer's Keka careers page and press Apply; on the pages we have seen, no account is needed.
- Upload your resume first: Keka reads it and fills your name, contact details, date of birth, location, experience, notice period, salaries and work and education rows.
- Check every field Keka filled and correct anything it guessed.
- Add skills one at a time, and remove any that Keka added from the resume that you do not want.
- Type the image CAPTCHA, give consent, and press Apply Now (it stays disabled until both are done).
Common traps
- Keka's resume reader can split a two-word first name into first name and middle name; fix the name boxes.
- Experience takes whole years in one box and months in a separate dropdown: 3 years 6 months is 3 and 6, not 3.5.
- Salary boxes add commas as you type (12,00,000 for 12 lakh); that is the same number.
- Date of birth and joining dates open a calendar; you pick the date, you cannot type it.
- The same skill cannot be added twice; Keka shows “Skill already added”.
